Lesson 1: Success Unlocked

In the past, people believed that success came from natural talent, being in the right place at the right time, or just plain luck. But new discoveries are changing that idea.

Success is about something much deeper, and it isn’t just about personal achievement. As you climb the ladder of success, you’ll find yourself in positions where you need to inspire those around you as you advance on your own journey.

And once you’ve tasted success, how do you make sure it sticks around? We’ll discuss the importance of sustaining success and turning one win into a launching pad for even greater achievements. So, get ready to discover the keys to success in your life!

Lesson 2: Engaging People

The key underlying principle for teamwork and collaboration is engagement. Keeping everyone in the loop and consulting with them and others involves sharing information, making sure everyone understands it and then getting them excited and committed to your task or project.

Engaging people and getting them enthused is like finding a common passion for a favourite hobby or activity and channelling it into the work to be done.

Lesson 3: Empowerment

Empowerment is delegation on rocket fuel. It’s where people, usually in teams, are trusted to make decisions themselves, without constant checking or approval from superiors.

But here’s the challenge: Empowerment means less control, which is good, but too little control can lead to chaos. How do you strike the right balance? How do you prevent your team from going off in different directions and making big mistakes?

It’s tricky because empowerment means accepting that mistakes will happen. If people are scared of messing up, they won’t take risks. And as a leader, if you want empowerment to work, you have to show them it’s okay to make mistakes and learn from them.

In this lesson we will get to grips with:
(a) Understanding Empowerment
(b) How to Empower People
(c) The Trouble with Empowerment
