DARE Organization is a young-women led African Organization, founded in Tanzania, dedicated to nurturing a new generation of empowered and community-driven changemakers. Their team of young professionals spans education, innovation, and social impact, united by a mission to empower Africa’s future leaders. In early 2025, they sought a leadership development partner who could deliver not just content, but transformation.
Why They Chose ARLLS
DARE Organization recognised that many early-career professionals have untapped potential, not because of a lack of ambition, but because they’ve never been given structured opportunities to develop core leadership skills. They needed a programme that would deepen self-awareness, strengthen communication and teamwork, and embed values-based decision-making without overwhelming their busy schedules.
ARLLS’s Bronze-level leadership development package offered exactly that: high-quality, flexible, and scalable modules, supported by facilitation and reflection tools.
“After course completion, as an organization and at a personal level, we have advanced in different criteria of our work and leadership. The team has tremendously improved communication, enriching our leadership skills and leading to the overall impact of change.”
What ARLLS Delivered
- Tailored curriculum: Eight self-paced modules chosen to match DARE’s priorities in communication, teamwork, leading change, and personal growth: Communication 1 & 2, Teamwork 1 & 2, Leading Change, Leading Effectively, Improving Personal Efficiency and Understanding Happiness.
- Structured flexibility: Modules released every two weeks, balancing reflection time with practical application.
- Collaborative reflection: Live sessions co-led by DARE and ARLLS helped learners translate theory into day-to-day leadership behaviour.
- Integrated tracking: Moodle’s learner analytics enabled DARE to monitor engagement and completion throughout the programme.
“One of the modalities we adopted is utilizing camera options in Zoom meetings—especially in introductory sessions. It’s been very helpful in creating official initial formalities and building trust across the team.”
“One key outcome was the introduction of quarterly plan reviews, where we revisit our strategies, capture lessons learned, and use them to guide adjustments in implementation. This practice was inspired by the module on adaptive leadership and continuous learning.”
Impact & Outcomes
The results were immediate and tangible:
- Holistic connections: Learners drew a “golden thread” across modules, comparing and connecting ideas into a coherent leadership experience.
- Stronger leadership skills: Participants advanced in active listening, constructive feedback, persuasive communication, and teamwork.
- Personal growth: Increased confidence, resilience, and self-awareness helped learners see themselves as emerging leaders.
- Organisational impact: A reflective, collaborative culture took root, with skills applied to both daily work and community contexts.
