Lesson 1: Presenting

Presentations might sound daunting, but they’re actually a highly effective way to communicate important ideas. Sharing your thoughts in person can be much more powerful than sending an email or writing a memo. So, whether you’re presenting in class, in a seminar or at an event, here’s a deep dive into the world of presentations. The four key steps for composing and giving a presentation are:

(a) Planning & Structuring
(b) Preparing the Slides
(c) Organising & Delivering
(d) Injecting DYNAMISM into the Delivery

Lesson 2: Conversing

Having good conversational skills is important when we’re making connections. Listening to others and really understanding their words is a big deal – it’s like showing respect and making our bonds stronger. For young people, these chatting skills are like tools for feeling sure of themselves and keeping friendships going.

So, what are these ‘conversing’ skills all about? It’s basically being great at both talking and listening. When you take these skills up a level and start speaking in front of a group of people, you can actually make others feel more confident too.

The four key stages for building conversing skills are:
(a) Conversation
(b) Public Speaking
(c) Listening
(d) Asking Questions

Lesson 3: Feedback

Feedback is like getting pointers on how your actions affect others while you’re doing something. It can be used to improve how you do things, handle stress, and make connections with others.

For feedback to be helpful, it should:
– Encourage you to keep up the good things you’re doing.
– Give you information to fix issues.
– Help you be better at what you’re doing.

In this lesson we will discuss:
(a) Giving Feedback: Do’s and Don’ts
(b) Candid Criticism
(c) Receiving Feedback
